EMIGRATE

a trip to collingwood, ontario to abandon our friend, yu-chan to the seasonal onslaught of snow, wind and fury. we met him as a japanese travelling man, and leave him as a snow bum. "working is not my subject there." he explains over a plate of fish. he is in search of the high ground, and will allow his snowboard to consume
his approaching winter.
we leave him at the chalet, large and spacious, and place him in the hands of the OB corporation, cleaning the ceramics of the masses. we cannot provide him a means of celular communication, for keiko's fido has no service. only rogers. there is no choice. we eat again fish, battered but barely scathed by the heat. sickly we depart.

goodbye 58-R, your time has come. may your board sing holy fury on the blue mountains and your spirit catch the winds of the wicked.
"..to our saintly departed..."

[Latin migrre, migrt- : -, ex-, ex- + migrre, to move; see mei-1 in Indo-European Roots.]
